Join us for breakfast in our Sunroom overlooking the Roseway River. And because we consider breakfast the most important meal of the day, we strive to provide our guests with a hearty meal. With advanced notice, we will be happy to accommodate any special dietary requirements at our historic Atlantic Canada bed and breakfast.
Our menu includes assorted juices, teas or freshly ground coffee and a selection of eggs (prepared any way you like them), blueberry pancakes, french toast or waffles each served with fresh fruit, bacon, sausage and toast. Mmmm. Good!

The nearby Roseway River is a great water resource. The river is home to several species of fish, unusual plant life and more than one family of bald eagles. In late spring the river can be a challenge for even the most experienced canoeing or kayaking enthusiast. |

Home Is Where The Heart Is
The historic inn offers three cozy b&b rooms, a luxury suite (with separate outdoor entrance) and several common rooms including a parlour (with a great selection of books) and a sunny breakfast nook overlooking the Roseway River. The sitting room of our suite is shown above.
Traditionally decorated, our front foyer is connected to the office by a split barn door. High-speed Internet access is available in this room for our guests to check e-mail and surf the Net. This is a great place to discover more information about Nova Scotia and use our collection of tourist brochures to plan the rest of your trip.
The parlour is comfortably furnished and bathed in sunlight, which makes for a warm and inviting room. With its tall baseboards, original window trim and fireplace, this elegant room is a wonderful place to meet our other guests or just relax.
Two original glass pocket doors lead from the Parlour to the Dining Room. With its elegant table, and seating for six, our breakfast room is a great place to share stories of your travels with our other guests.
The Sunroom, as the name implies is a wonderfully bright room. Overlooking the river, it is a lovely place to sit and enjoy a full breakfast.
Trailing Ivy Room
Overlooking the Roseway River as it enters the Shelburne Harbour, this charming room is decorated in traditional Nova Scotia style with a painted wood floor and matching trim. A hand-stenciled border carries the ivy motif around the room. With a three-piece, private en-suite bathroom, cable television and a VCR this is a very comfortable room.
Rates: $90.00 cdn. + 13% HST per night based upon double occupancy
Climbing Rose Room
Overlooking the front garden, this room features a queen size bed, antique furniture, four-piece, private en-suite washroom, cable television and a VCR. Decorated in traditional Nova Scotia style with painted wooden floors and matching trim this comfortable room is bright and airy.
Rates: $100.00 cdn. +13% HST per night based upon double occupancy
Wild Lupin Room
Large and tranquil, the Wild Lupin Room enjoys a wonderful view of the Roseway River, and the single lane bridge - one of only three remaining in Nova Scotia. Decorated in beautiful blues and lavenders, this room is cheerful and inviting. The queen-size bed, painted antique headboard, hand-hooked rugs, along with a private three-piece en-suite bathroom, cable television and VCR, all add to the comforts of this room.

Roseway Suite
The Roseway Suite consists of a bedroom and a separate sitting room. Elegantly decorated with comfortable furniture, the rooms enjoy views of both the Roseway River and the garden. A separate entrance and four-piece, private en-suite bathroom makes the Roseway Suite truly private. The Suite also includes cable television and a VCR and its own private refreshment centre equipped with a fridge (lots of ice), as well as coffee and tea for your enjoyment at any time.
